Wildlife Videos
As they say, 'a picture tells a thousand words'.
If you
ever needed proof, these videos speak volumes about the treatment of our
native Australian kangaroos.
The Code of Practice governing
the commercial slaughter of kangaroos stipulates that any in-pouch joeys are
either bludgeoned to death or decapitated. People don't realise how
atrocious that is until they see it.
Common practice amongst hunters
is even more barbaric...they even encourage their children to do likewise -
don't believe us...watch the video.
Older joeys are normally left to
die of starvation or predation. This video shows an orphaned joey being
released only to be chased down by a waiting fox.
A humane death we hear the
industry say. Yet all to often kangaroos are 'processed' whilst still
alive (see it to believe it).
"Healthy and lean meat" the
industry says. But this behind the scenes video tells the real story.
"A sustainable industry" the
government claims. Yet when pre-adult females predominate the slaughter
houses it won't be long before we reach the precipice of extinction as this
video clip shows.
"Too many kangaroos" we hear of
farmers claim. But where are they? This video shows that you can
travel for many hours in outback Australia and not see a single kangaroo...not
even a dead one.
All the government control of the
industry will not stop the illegal hunting of kangaroos. Red-necks with
their utes and rifles taking part in 'kangaroo drives'.
And let's not forget the
'protected' species 'accidently' shot as this video proves.
